*sigh* She didn't turn out the way I wanted her to...
To me there are a few things keeping her from looking like Ponyo (at least... at the age she is in the movie). She isn't chubby enough (or maybe she's just too tall?). Her neck is too long.
I haaaaate working with that kind of fabric at that scale. It's too stiff to look natural, clothing that small of a figure. And that shade of red... Ponyo's is more of a pinkish red, not a full-out crimson. (or is it scarlet?) I'm tempted to seamrip that outfit off of her and give her a different one... maybe even changing the doll's identity entirely...
I also hate trying to bring any sort of "messy style" to that length of hair. ALWAYS the best I can manage is a Jareth-the-goblin-king look.
It looks ok to me, I have'nt seen the movie in a while so yep looks good! I have seen it before but I don't have it and I have been wanting it now for some reason.
lol, thanks. I still feel that this doll is a failer as Ponyo, though. I plan to turn her into "someone else". Ponyo is probably my favorite "little mermaid" story. [^^]

Her head ought to be wider, like a baby's.
xD I LOVE the hair. It's great!
Yeah... I thought I'd made it chubby enough, but I guess it wasn't...
lol I wonder if I could make some sort of "gel" to get the hair how I want...
